Old times Museum

Open a window into the past. The Old Times Museum is located in the old village centre of Hohenems in a house built in 1602. The wooden building was saved from demolition in 2011 and has since been renovated and maintained by a sponsoring association. A small museum has been located on the ground floor of the building since 2016. The exhibition provides insights into life around 1600, linked to examples and fates of people from the region.

In addition to insights into everyday life, the topics of war crafts, plague and witch mania are also highlighted. The museum also has a small garden. Here, various old varieties of grain are preserved and crops formerly used in the region are cultivated for display purposes.
